The Management Study Program together with the Internal Quality Assurance Institute (LPMI) of Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) held an Internal Discussion of UIB’s Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI) Document. The activity was funded by the Independent Campus Competition Program Grant (PKKM) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The activity was attended by 45 participants from the Rectorate, SPMI Document Team, and lecturers from all study programs and bureaus at UIB. This internal discussion was guided by the Head of LPMI UIB, Ria Karina, SE., MM., and Experts and Resource Persons Prof. Dr. Laurentius Hartanto Nugroho, M.Agr. as Head of the Education Quality Assurance Institute at the Gadjah Mada University (UGM) Quality Assurance Office (KJM). This activity aims to discuss and develop SPMI documents owned by UIB. The activity begins with the delivery of an overview of the results of accreditation, the number of lecturers, the number of graduates, lecturer publications, and intellectual property rights (IPR) at UIB. Resource persons provide input on lecturer publications, if in carrying out publications it is necessary to provide training and education for lecturers regarding good and correct proposals in submitting research and selecting journals for publication. UIB Vice-Rectors, Dr. Meiliana, and Dr. Hepy Hefri Ariyanto also often gave responses in discussions to all inputs given by Prof. Dr. Larentius Hartanto Nugroho, M.Agr.
The activity was continued with a discussion on graduate competency standard documents guided by Leil Badrah Zaki, S.Pd., M.Pd., as the Head of the Academic Development Center (ADC) UIB. Responses from resource persons for the Graduate Competency Standards Document are starting from anyone who can sign the document, the contents of the document, main and additional indicators, and standards that can be taken as a reference in the preparation of Learning Standards. Resource persons provide input in the preparation of the main and additional indicators must accommodate student graduation rates and be adjusted to SN Dikti. The resource persons also emphasized that the compiled outputs must be clear and firm under the standard achievement indicators. All of these insights became very valuable input for all participants, especially for LPMI and the UIB SPMI Document Team. The input in this session is prioritized on developing SPMI documents, especially learning standard documents from LPMI UIB.
