UIB Faculty of Computer Science Conducts Socialization Regarding “Future Learning Strategy” at SMA Negeri 25 Batam
On July 16, 2022, the Faculty of Computer Science (FIK), Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) became a speaker in the Introduction to the School Environment (PLS) activity at SMA Negeri 25 Batam. This PLS activity was held in the Outdoor Hall of SMA 25, Jl. Tj. Buntung, Tj. Buntung, Bengkong district, Batam City, Riau Islands. This activity takes place from 08.00 WIB until 09.00 WIB. FIK UIB presented Dwinta Suci Antari, S. Kom and Tony Wibowo, S. Kom., MMSI as speakers in this socialization.
The socialization event was attended by around 150 10th grade students who were divided into two groups. Tony Wibowo, S. Kom., MMSI did the socialization in the first group, and Dwinta Suci Antari, S. Kom did the socialization in the second group.
Briefly, the material brought by the resource persons is related to the differences between past and present learning systems. Where today is using Smart Classroom Strategy which includes collaboration, technology-enabled, highly engaging, abundance of material, and student-centered.
In the middle of delivering the material, there was also a quiz held by the resource person so as to increase the enthusiasm of the students to listen more and be enthusiastic about the material presented. Then the socialization ended with closing quotes, namely “If you know the enemy and know yourself you need not fear the results of a hundred battles – Sun Tzu”.
With this socialization, SMA 25 students better understand and recognize the learning system applied to schools and universities so that they are expected to be able to adapt and be able to follow the learning system well.
