Keboen Hijoponik is a type of business in the field of vegetables based on hydroponics. According to (Prayitno et al., 2017) hydroponic farming does not use soil as a planting medium, but uses water that contains nutrients for plants. This business was established because there are still many problems experienced by conventional vegetable economic actors such as water shortages and infertile soil. For this reason, Keboen Hijoponik was established using some water and sufficient land. The business which is located on Jalan Sei Jang, Gang gatra No.12, Tanjungpinang, Riau Archipelago is a very strategic location. Because the hijoponik garden is in the middle of a residential area so that the residents there can easily reach the location. Due to the strategic location of this business, it is considered capable of reaping more profits. In competing with conventional vegetable markets, Keboen Hijoponik offers clean and quality vegetables. As for several types of vegetables planted such as mustard greens, lettuce, spinach, pokcoy, etc. Buyers can order in two ways , the first is to visit the outlet at the address listed above and the second is to order online on platforms such as Instagram and Facebook. If buyers want to go to outlets, they can do shopping by self-service, namely picking up and choosing their own vegetables. The source of initial funding comes from each founder.

The products sold by Keboen Hijoponik are fresh, healthy, sold at affordable prices and easy to find. Hydroponic vegetables themselves are different from conventional vegetables, the result of hydroponic plantation can be harvested faster,  is more hygienic because it doesn’t use soil, doesn’t wilt easily, and had it’s nutritional content more maintained. The water that is used is also less than conventional vegetables, and does not require large areas of land for its implementation. So, areas that lack water in urban areas can easily create hydroponic plantations. The products provided will also always be fresh thanks to the “pick your own” sales program, in this program the vegetables will remain in the planting medium until a consumer buys them.

Sosial

We are well aware that the world, especially Indonesia, is in an environmental crisis. Many natural disasters that is caused by human activities become a “subscription” that must be faced in a year, some can even predict when floods or landslides will occur. For this reason, we as a business enterprise engaged in plantations, plants and horticulture were moved to start a tree planting movement. We make a program by setting aside income every 6 months to buy shoots, as a new soil absorption medium. We hope that small businesses that have just started this movement can encourage other movements in realizing the 2 SDGs missions, namely Handling Climate Change (13) and Life on Land (15).

Ekonomi

Of course in every business, people expect a promising profit. Vegetables are a mandatory human need every day, so the market for vegetables with healthy, clean and quality will certainly always be available every day.

Lingkungan Hidup

By planting the shoots earlier, we hope that the tree will later become a new absorption area so that it can overcome global warming and natural disasters such as floods and landslides
