At this graduation ceremony, the Governor of Riau Islands was also present, represented by Dr. Andi Agung, SE., MM, Head of the Riau Islands Provincial Education Service, Mayor of Batam Mr. H. Muhammad Rudi, S.E., M.M, Chair of LLDIKTI Region as Chair of the Yayasan Marga Tionghoa Indonesia and the donator of UIB.
The event was attended by thousands of families who were proud to see that one of their family members had completed their education at Universitas Internasional Batam. A touching story occurred when the male and female graduates were called individually to go up on stage.
The look of joy on the faces of each student who has received a bachelor’s degree can be seen.
As if they didn’t want the moment to just disappear, family members of the graduates and female graduates immortalized it by recording pictures using their cellphones.
Outside the hotel, it was even more lively because, along the entrance to the Harbour bay area, you could see various greetings from relatives, family, and friends congratulating students who had completed their education at UIB.
Apart from that, the total number of graduates is 915 per study program, Master program, including 56 Master in Management and 57 Master in Law.
Then, for the Bachelor program, there are 28 people in the Civil Engineering study program, 148 people in Information Systems, 252 people in Management, 163 people in Accounting, 30 people in Tourism, 121 people in Legal Studies, 25 people in English Education, 25 people in Information Technology. 8 people and Architecture as many as 27 people.
UIB also awards appreciation to the best graduates from the exact and social fields.
The exact sciences field went to Audrey Saudjhana from the Information Systems study program with a GPA of 4.0, while the social area went to Eren from the Accounting study program with a GPA of 3.99.
The best student from the master’s program was Febrian Hermawan from the Masters, Management study program, with a GPA of 3.95. Then, from the Master in Law, I was Defi Arika Harahap, with a GPA of 3.97.
Besides the best graduates, UIB also gave an award to the Outstanding Graduate, Annisa Salsabila, who had a GPA of 3.99.
The best graduate from each study program, the Civil Engineering Bachelor Program, was won by Marvin Tandedi with a GPA of 3.90.
Billy Shevriyanto achieved the Bachelor of Architecture program with a GPA of 3.92. Jonathan Felix Andrianto won the Bachelor of Information Technology Bachelor Program with a GPA of 3.92.
Tony Chandra achieved the Bachelor of Management program with a GPA of 3.98. Dewirahayu Sad Wijaya earned the Bachelor of Tourism program with a GPA of 3.80.
Nertivia achieved the Bachelor of Laws program with a GPA of 3.95.
Apart from the best graduates, some graduates received full scholarships.
A total of 5 graduates received Excellence Scholarships from the Indonesian Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology.
2 graduates received Bidikmisi scholarships from the Directorate General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).
Two graduates received Cemerlang scholarships from UIB, and 1 graduate received Insan Mandiri from UIB.
