Monday, March 9, 2020, UIB Tax and Accounting Center and Accounting major the University of International Batam cooperating with the Regional office Directorate General of Taxes organized a Tax Reporting Workshop Using E-Filing held in Hall B, 1st floor, University of International Batam.
The purpose of this activity is to provide education and understanding to staff and lecturers at the University of International Batam as well as assistance related to SPT reporting using E-Filing, As it is known that taxes are the biggest source of income for the country but the level of public awareness to report and pay taxes are very low. This is one of the objectives for holding this activity. This event was also assisted by the University of International Batam students who participated in the Tax Volunteer program whose job was to guide UIB (University of International Batam) staff and lecturers in filling SPT using E-filling. The series of activities begins with the presentation of material on stamp duty and also the procedure for filling SPT using E-Filing followed by the direct practice of filling the SPT using E-Filing assisted by a team from the Regional office of the DJP Kepri, KPP Pratama North Batam, Tax Volunteers.
We hope that the Workshop for filling SPT using E-Filing can increase the knowledge about stamp duty and procedures for filling SPT using E-Filing. Also, we hope that it can be an inspiration for the Taxpayers in Indonesia to have high awareness to report and pay taxes to support the country’s income and development with the ease of tax reporting in this digital era.
