Continuing to Collaborate, Universitas Internasional Batam Signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with SMA Negeri 17 Batam

Batam (29/02/2021) – Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) has signed a cooperation agreement (MoU and MoA) with one of the high schools in Batam City, namely SMA Negeri 17 Batam on February 27, 2021. The signing took place at SMA Negeri 17 Batam. The signing activity was attended by Dr. Hepy H. Ariyanto as Vice Rector III of UIB, Abdurrakhman Alhakim, S.H., M.H as representative of UIB Public Relations and Jamal Dinata, S.Pd, M.M as the principal of SMAN 17 Batam and other parties from SMAN 17 Batam.

This cooperation agreement is a form of UIB’s concern for schools in Batam City. The form of cooperation that will be carried out as a follow-up to this signing is the making of masterplan drawings and mockups of the SMAN 17 Batam Building and Training on the Use of Digital-Based Learning Development for SMA Negeri 17 Batam teachers. The making of masterplans and mockups will involve the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning (FTSP) UIB, where there are two participating study programs, namely Civil Engineering and Architecture. This activity involved lecturers and students from Faculty of Civil Engineering and Planning in surveying, depicting and making mock-ups of the SMAN 17 Batam Building. Meanwhile, teacher training will involve the English Language Education Study Program. In addition to providing training, the English Language Education Study Program will provide assistance for the preparation and development of digital learning for SMA Negeri 17 Batam teachers.

This signing is one of the collaborations carried out by UIB with school partners in Batam City. UIB hopes that with the signing of this collaboration, UIB can continue to contribute to providing community service, especially for high school in Batam City. UIB also hopes that cooperation can be carried out with other schools in Batam City. (public relations)
