Batam, 22 February 2020. Universitas Internasional Batam held a Videography & Photography Competition with the theme “My City’s Treasure”. This competition is one of the places for students to increase their creativity and ability in the fields of Videography & Photography, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, where space for movement was limited.
The tourism sector is an industry that is driven by the market. In marketing Indonesian tourism products, it requires the involvement of all parties in managing tourism, starting from the government, tourism managers and the community. In this case, students as agents of change can contribute in driving the introduction and promotion of Indonesian tourism to the Indonesian community at large, even to the international community.
Each region in Indonesia has its own uniqueness and excellence in tourism. The Videography & Photography Competition is expected to be a forum for students to introduce and promote city or regional tourism in Indonesia.

This competition will take place from 26 February 2021 to 26 March 2021. Announcement of winners and favourite works will be made via Instagram, Bureau of Student and Alumni Development (@bpka_uib). This competition is open to students throughout Indonesia.
