Kampus Mengajar program is part of Kampus Merdeka Program implemented by Ministry of Education and Culture of Higher Education in collaboration with the LPDP (Lembaga Pengelola Dana Pendidikan). Kampus Mengajar program aims to provide opportunities for students to learn and develop themselves through activities outside the lecture class. In Kampus Mengajar program, students will be placed in elementary schools in Indonesia and assist in the teaching and learning process in schools.
To join “Kampus Mengajar” program, students must follow the selection process which is carried out directly by the Ministry of Education and Culture of Higher Education through the website https://kampusmerdeka.kemdikbud.go.id. The selection process started from the opening of registration on February 09-21, 2021 by registering an account on the Kampus Merdeka website and uploading administrative data such as a recommendation letter from the university. Then, the selection results were announced on March 14. Students were required to provide debriefing via online for six days from March 15 to March 20, 2021.
Five students who successfully passed the Kampus Mengajar program from UIB, namely Cristin Agustina Gultom and Pradnia Adella from the Management Study Program, Nia Safitri from the Tourism Study Program, Adinda Wulan Fatricia and Glenn Ponto from the English Language Education Study Program. These five students will later take part in the Kampus Mengajar program at the elementary school they choose from March 22 – June 22, 2021. Students also get incentives, namely an allowance of IDR 700,000 / month and a maximum waived tuition fee of IDR 2,400,000 / times directly from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Higher Education-LPDP. Hopefully, in the future there will be more UIB students who take part in the Kampus Merdeka Program. (Desty)
