The UIB Information System Study Program in collaboration with Angelhack, Meet Venture, Manggala Technology, and Botika held for the first time a start-up competition. With 48 participating teams of Information Systems Study Program students who were also the results of the Startup Business Development course, the event took place from April 26 to May 9, 2021. The judges of this competition were Farhan Firdaus, Director of Meet Venture & NTU Technopreneurship Scholar; Iwan Suhardjo, CEO of Angelhack; Galuh Koco Sadewo, Co-founder of Botika; Tony Wibowo, Head of Information Systems PS and Yefta Christian, Head of UIB IT Center. The assessment criteria are the Business Model Canvas, Alignment between the pitch deck and BMC, Presentation, and Teamwork.
Of the 48 teams that progressed to the final round, there were 8 teams. The team made a live presentation, and were also asked directly by the jury. Of the 8 teams, the favourite winner is Dropship Expert coached by Christopher Harsana Jasa (1931020), Kevin Anderson (1931013), Satria Lim (1931109), and Wahyu Yudianto (1931124). The 3rd winner is Teknokasi which consisted of Katherine Oktaviani Yap Rui Qi (1931153), Julia Veronica (1931154), and Yu Lun (1931036). The 2nd winner was won by Utopia which was built by Agnes Jocelyn (1931113), Steven (1931104), Kevin Junaidi (1931110), and Nursudiono (1931131). The 1st winner was won by Virtudrobe with members of Kisusyenni Venessa (1931150), Steven Salim (1931144), and Kendy Junianto (1931175). One of the judges, Iwan Suhardjo, hopes that this activity will be one of the initial activities to develop UIB student-based start-ups.
