Batam, 15 December 2023 – The academic community is proud of Batam International University’s (UIB) achievements, which won the Bronze Winner in the Research, Technology, and Community Service Award in the Publication category (Garuda Award). Subcategory of Intermediate Cluster Institutions with the highest scientific publication scores for 2020-2022.
This award recognizes UIB’s contribution to developing research, technology, and community service with increased scientific publications from UIB lecturers over the last three years. UIB successfully competed with various universities throughout Indonesia and made it a proud representative of LLDIKTI Region X.
In his statement, Vice Chancellor 3 Dr. Hepy Hefri Ariyanto, who was present to receive the award in Jakarta, expressed his gratitude for this achievement, “This award is the result of the hard work and dedication of the entire UIB academic community, especially the UIB LPPM Bureau which continues to encourage lecturers to carry out research, service and publish it in journals. “scientific journals, both national and international. We continue to be committed to making positive contributions to research and technological development, as well as community service in the future,” he said
This Bronze Winner was awarded to 27 winning universities, including UIB. It is hoped that this achievement can inspire students and lecturers to continue to excel and positively impact the development of science and the welfare of society.
