On Saturday, July 31, 2021, the Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) Information System Study Program held a Workshop on Mapping Study Materials, Weighting Courses, and Assessment Systems. This workshop was funded by the Program Kompetisi Kampus Merdeka (PKKM) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). The workshop was attended by 14 participants from the curriculum development team of the Information Systems Study Program and the Academic Development Center (ADC) UIB. In addition, this workshop invited Prof. Dra. Sri Hartati, M.Sc., Ph.D. from Gadjah Mada University, a member of the IABEE Executive Commission and Chairperson of LAM Infokom. This workshop aims to evaluate and develop study materials, course weights, and assessment systems of the Information System Study Program. Therefore, they can be more appropriate in implementing the OBE Curriculum in the learning process.

The workshop was continued with a discussion of the study materials for the Information Systems Study Program. Prof. Dra. Sri Hartati, M.Sc., Ph.D. gave input in determining the graduate profiles that focus more on students’ ability to not only contribute to technology but also to develop the technology. Each graduate profile also needs to be measured on how big his/her ability to initiate independently in work. In addition, in designing the graduate profiles, it must be easy to understand and not too high-demanded. Then, the graduate learning outcomes (CPL) must also refer to the study materials, so the study materials must be more detailed and specific. For the CPL assessment, it can be seen from the percentage of learning achievements that are included in the exam questions and student assignments. This kind of system is meant as Outcome-Based Education (OBE). The next session also continued with a discussion on how to implement the OBE learning system that has been implemented at UGM and how to systematically assess the CPL of each student. This activity provides many benefits and inputs for the Information Systems Study Program in preparing curriculum development that is adapted to the OBE Paradigm. In the future, the Information Systems Study Program will also carry out many evaluations and developments on the learning system, especially on the assessment system which is much different from the previous curriculum.
