Friday, December 13th, 2019, UIB received a visit from a delegation from PT. Infineon Technologies Batam. The aim of the visit was the development of a partnership program that had existed previously. The meeting was attended by the Vice-Chancellor I for Academic Affairs Dr. Meiliana, the Deans and Ka. Study programs from the fields related to participating from UIB.
As a multi-national company operating more than 5 countries in the world, Infineon carries program links and match with local universities in the area of the operational site. In the Batam site, the relationship between UIB and PT. Infineon Technologies Batam is limited to labor recruitment and final-year student apprenticeship collaboration. However, the next plan is to run a collaborative program that provides space for the development of existing staff from both parties. Tridharma: Teaching, Research and Community Service in meeting the challenges of the 21st Century in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0.
It is hoped that the strategic cooperation, the two parties can be realized soon so that it can have a positive impact only for the parties but also for the stakeholders and the public in Batam in general.
