The development of the present era brings many changes to various aspects of human life. This era is usually referred to as disruptive era. The disruptive era is the era of the emergence of various innovations that have not existed before, thereby eliminating the old / existing systems and technologies. This disruptive era carries a lot of influence in various sectors of human life both in the manufacturing sector, minerals, industry and others. This disruptive era also had an impact on the educational aspect. Education is required to be able to print human resources who can adapt and even answer the challenges that arise in the disruptive era.

Higher Education plays an important role in printing human resources that can adapt and respond to challenges in the disruptive era. The Indonesian government is well aware that Indonesia itself as a developing country must also make improvements in the aspect of education. One of the things that has begun to be done is a change in learning systems that were formerly input based, now outcome based. This is reflected in changes in the assessment indicators on accreditation that have been carried out by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT).

In addition to higher education accreditation or study programs that are always improved by Batam International University as a quality improvement, international accreditation is a priority of UIB in getting international recognition so that graduates produced can have international standards and can compete with the global world in line with the vision of UIB.

As a step of UIB in gaining international recognition, UIB through the Bureau of Academic Development Center conducts activities in the design of Outcome Based Education Curriculum where the curriculum is the main key in the process of international accreditation and national accreditation. In the training held on January 29, 2020 until January 31, 2020 invited expert speakers from the University of Gajah Madha, namely Dr. Leni Sophia Heiliani, S.T., M.Sc. he is the Head of the Academic Quality Assurance Office of Gajah Madha University (2014 to 2019), IABEE (Indonesian Accreditation Board for Engineering Education) Assessor, AUN-QA (ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance) Assessors, and he as EduSquad for international accreditation. This activity was attended by 53 lecturers from Batam International University from various Study Programs at UIB.
