Sastra Cinta Dalam Warna in 3D: Teater Warna Student Activity Unit Holds its First Competition

Batam, April 17, 2021. Theater is not only focused on theatrical arts. Theater does not only tell the story of life of humans or animals. Theater is essentially an art that combines other arts in it. Many arts are applied in the theater world, including literature, music, dance, fine arts, and martial arts. However, nowadays theatrical depiction does not only revolve around theatrical arts.

On this occasion, UKM Theater Warna UIB held annual routine activities that were arranged slightly differently from the previous year, where this year UKM Theater held Sastra Cinta Dalam Warna (SCDW) III accompanied by competitions for the first time. The competition activities include 2 (two) types of competition, namely Poetry Writing and Short Drama.

“In this time, Sastra Cinta Dalam Warna (SCDW) activity, we took the initiative to hold a competition as a forum for students to show their talents and creativity, as well as an opportunity to reach some achievements.” said Ridho, chairman of Theater Student Activity Unit.

The announcement of the winners of the competition was held at the peak of the Cinta Dalam Warna Literature activity on April 17^th, 2021. The first winner for Poem Writing Category is Naomi Rabelas Hanjaros from Mitra Bunda Health Institute, the 2nd place is Rina Anggraini from Universitas Internasional Batam, and the 3^rd place is Revica Amanda Sari from Mitra Bunda Health Institute The favorite winner in this category was achieved by Coral Aswanti from Universitas Internasional Batam. As for the Short Drama category, the first and second winner was won by teams from Universitas Internasional Batam. Meanwhile, the 3rd place winner was won by the team from Mitra Bunda Health Institute.

The peak event went very well with pleasant atmosphere. Theater Student Activity Unit presented a Drama entitled “Ayat-Ayat Cinta”. The filming of the drama was short but it was very well presented to all the participants present. The peak event was also filled with performances from Band Student Activity Unit and Choir Student Activity Unit.
