Batam, August 5, 2022, The 1st CoNeSCInTech (Conference on Business, Social Sciences, and Technology) 2021 was officially opened by the Rector of UIB and the Director General of Higher Education represented by the Director of Resources Dr. Mohammad Sofwan Effendi, M.Ed on August 4, 2021. The 1st CoNeSCInTech is the first international conference initiated by LPPM UIB. This activity was made possible thanks to the support of various colleagues from other universities, namely: Shanghai Business School (China), Kanagawa Institute of Technology (Japan), Universiti Teknik Malaysia Melaka (Malaysia), Merdeka University Malang (Indonesia) and Trisakti School of Management- TSM (Indonesia) and other participating universities sent participants.
The implementation of The 1st CoNeSCInTech carries the theme “Research and Dissemination in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals. This activity is carried out online via Zoom Meeting and Live in Youtube. The 1st CoNeSCInTech 2021 activity is divided into two sessions, namely plenary and parallel sessions. The plenary session was the first session of the webinar from exposure to keynote speakers from various universities, namely Hsu Yuan-Teng, Ph.D from Shanghai Business School, China through video recordings. Followed by Dr. Diana Zuhroh, M.Si, Ak from Merdeka University Malang, Indonesia.
Then continued by Prof. Kosuke Takano from Kanagawa Institute of Technology, Japan.
Further by Dr. Mohd Fauzi bin Kamarudin, Ph.D from Universiti Teknik Malaysia, Melaka.
And finally, the presentation of material from the keynote speaker representative from UIB by the Head of the Master of Management Study Program, Dr. Ferdinand Nainggolan, MBA
This plenary session was moderated by Prof. Dr. Willy Arafah, MM., DBA from Trisakti University,
After the plenary session ended at 12.00 WIB, the participants were given a break until 12.30 to prepare for the parallel session. This parallel session is the second session of the conference in the form of exposure to research results from 212 student participants divided into 25 parallel sessions (24 rooms and 1 Main Discussion room).
The 1st CoNeSCInTech activity was closed with the announcement of the winners of Best Paper, Best Presenter, and Best Poster by the MC and presentation from Prof. Dr. Herri, MBA as the Head of LLDIKTI Region X. LPPM would like to thank and express the highest appreciation to all parties who have participated and supported the implementation of The 1st CoNeSCInTech 2021, namely: the committee, keynote speakers, presenters, reviewers, chair sessions, moderators, participants and other parties who participate cannot be mentioned one by one. Hopefully the cooperation and networks that have been established will continue to grow and be filled with various activities that are beneficial for all parties. Hopefully our efforts can contribute to advancing education and improving the welfare of the community.
