On January 10 2024, The 4th CoMBInES 2024 activity was officially held with the theme “Accelerating the Global Transformation Towards Sustainability: Action for the SDGs,” bringing together leading thinkers and practitioners from various countries to share knowledge and innovative ideas.
The opening ceremony was a special moment, with the opening delivered by Dr. Iskandar Itan, Chancellor of Universitas Internasional Batam. In his delivery, Dr Itan underlined the importance of global collaboration in driving the transformation towards sustainability. The event was then decorated with the presence of Prof. Dr Ir. Sri Suning Kusumawardani, S.T., M.T, Director of Learning and Student Affairs, Kemahasiswaan Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemdikbudristek),
Which provides an in-depth look at the role of education in supporting sustainable development goals.
Keynote speakers, Dr. Choo Siew Ming from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia; Prof. Dr Asep Hermawan, MSc., from Trisakti University, Indonesia; Taufik Rachmat Nugraha, from the National University of Singapore; and Hendra Nugraha, S.S., M.Hum., from Universitas Internasional Batam, Indonesia, opened a series of discussion sessions with their insights and experiences.
Next, there was a parallel conference session in the form of a presentation regarding the presentation of research results from 49 participants, which was divided into five parallel sessions.
