The First Colsa Creative Innovative Competition (CCIC) was Successfully Held

Batam, June 6, 2021. The Covid-19 pandemic has brought many changes to the order of people’s lives, including the education sector. All learning activities, including competition activities, are carried out online. Changes were made to adjust to the pandemic situation, one of which was the application of a new normal.

The implementation of this new normal is a good opportunity for students to increase their productivity and optimize their quality. The Colsa Creative Innovation Competition (CCIC) is a forum for students to work and participate actively in tackling the impact of the pandemic on the education sector. CCIC took the theme of “Adaptation to New Habits” with 3 (three) categories of competitions that students could participate in to work and achieve achievements in non-academic fields.

This competition activity has been conducted for 2 (two) months and participated by students from various universities. All works are assessed according to the assessment aspects described in the competition guidebook by competent judges in their fields.

The announcement of the competition was held on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, attended by all participants, Law Science study program, BPKA, and representatives of the jury.

In the Street Photography Contest category, 1st place was won by Eliezer Cristiawan Dua Lembang from Semarang State University, the 2nd and the 3rd place winners were won by Universitas Internasional Batam students respectively by Kevin John Paul Manurung and Eleonora Josephine Donatus Tan.

In the Poster Design category, Yeni Yulianti won 1st place from the Karya Bakti Husada Nursing Academy, Yogyakarta. The 2nd place went to Neha Aswin Maysura, and the 3rd place went to Delvin Shakira Mahardhika from Universitas Internasional Batam.

As for the Letter to the President category, the 1st place was won by a Universitas Internasional Batam student, Elisa Nilla Sari Simanjuntak, the 2nd place was won by Putri Nada Pertiwi Sihombing, and the 3rd place was won by STIE Totalwin student, Ratih Purwasih.

 “This is my first experience and I didn’t expect to win this competition. My message to friends, don’t be afraid to try first, especially to try to enter the competition so that we can further improve our competence and quality. Thanks to UIB for giving me the opportunity and award, I am very happy,” said Elisa as one of the winners of this year’s CCIC competition.

This competition will be an annual competition organized by the Law Science Study Program Student Association in collaboration with Law Science Study Program and BPKA in improving student competence and achievement, both in academic and non-academic fields.
