Batam, July 26, 2022 – Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) Campus Life Introduction Program or commonly known as P2K2 (Program Pengenalan Kehidupan Kampus (In Indonesia)) is officially opened on July 23, 2022. The entire series of activities takes place from 09.00 WIB to 17.00 WIB. This P2K2 has the theme “Strengthening Collaboration Towards a Resilient Society”. The number of P2K2 participants this year reached 798 people with 60 active students as co-facilitators and 60 lecturers as facilitators.
P2K2 activities were carried out at the UIB Sporthall. The series of activities began with the opening by the MC, namely Ms. Dea Tiara Monalisa Butar-Butar, S.Ak., M.Ak. Then the activity was continued by singing the anthem Indonesia Raya led by the conductor Putri Nada Pertiwi and reading a prayer led by Tohmas Saputra. The activity continued with P2K2 debriefing delivered by Mrs. Ridhayati Farid, S.Psi., M.M as Head of the Alumni and Career Development Bureau (BPAK) and Head of 2022 P2K2 Implementer. Mrs. Ridha conveyed about the national movement for mental revolution and essential things that need to be adhered to by prospective new UIB students.
The introduction of the library was then carried out after the P2K2 debriefing. Mr. Julfitri, S.E as the Head of the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Library conveyed the rules and facilities provided by the UIB library, considering that the library will become an important facility for prospective new students later. After finishing with the introduction to the library, prospective new students were given ice breaking and lunch breaks.
Exactly at 12.30 WIB, prospective new students were directed to the religious student activity unit room to get an introduction to UIB’s religious activities. The introduction to Buddhism was carried out in Hall B on the 1st floor, the introduction to Christianity was carried out in the B103 class room, the introduction to Islam for boys was carried out in Hall B308 and the introduction to Islam for girls was carried out in the Dance Studio. After completing the introduction of religious activities, prospective new students are directed to their respective rooms according to their groups.
This year’s P2K2 is the first UIB offline campus introduction program after 2 (two) years of the pandemic. Both prospective new students and the P2K2 committee were very enthusiastic because they were back in an offline atmosphere on campus. The series of P2K2 activities in the future are expected to be carried out smoothly and enthusiastically.
