UIB Information System Study Program Holds Agile Scrum Fundamental (ASF) Certification

The Information Systems Study Program of Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) collaborating with Multimatics carried out the Agile Scrum Fundamental Certification (ASF) on August 10, 13, and 16, 2021. This certification was funded by the Kampus Merdeka Competition Program (PKKM) from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) of the Republic of Indonesia. This activity invited Dr. Agus Setiawan (General Manager of PT Multimatics Indonesia and a trainer). Educator certification is the fulfillment of the need to improve professional competence. The certification process is an essential part of efforts to obtain a competency certificate by established standards. Educator certification is a competency test process for prospective educators who want to gain recognition or improve competence according to their chosen profession. The representation of the fulfillment of the competency standards that have been set in the educator certification is the educator certificate.

The ASF certification was attended by 10 lecturers from UIB Information Systems Study Program, namely Suwarno, Daniel Apdianto Herman, Mangapul Siahaan, Muhammad Dody Firmansyah, Eryc, Diny Anggriani Adnas, Surya Tjahyadi, Deli, Muhammad Ardiansyah, and Zulkarnain. The material discussed in the training activity on the first day of August 10, 2021, the trainer explained the material about introduction and history and Agile to Scrum material. On the second day, which is August 13, 2021, Dr. Agus Setiawan started to get into the material about Scrum Artifacts and Scrum events. Then on the 3rd day, August 16, 2021, starting with the presentation of material on Agile and Scrum in Real World and ending with an exam in the afternoon. All participants who take part in this activity get an A and are entitled to an ASF certificate. Of course, the acquisition of this certificate is expected to be very helpful for lecturers in providing learning to students.
