UIB Students Passed Again in Teaching Campus Program Batch II

After successfully organizing the Teaching Campus program Batch 1 from March to June 2021, Merdeka Learning-Independent Campus is again carrying out the 2nd Class Teaching Campus program. The Campus Teaching program Batch 2 provides opportunities for students to contribute to the world of education and experience hands-on involvement. UIB supports student participation by providing socialization to students and study programs related to the Teaching Campus program. Program socialization was carried out by the Academic Development Center (ADC) of UIB to provide information related to the program and encourage students to register.

Registration is done on the official website of Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka, namely https://kampusmerdeka.kemdikbud.go.id. Program registration is open from June 11-30 June 2021, then extended to July 5, 2021, due to the high enthusiasm of students to join the program. Students who pass the administrative selection will continue with the Diversity Survey on July 8-9, 2021. Then, students who pass the selection process on July 23, 2021. After students are declared graduated, students are given an online briefing for one week by the Ministry of Education and Culture Dikti.

In the Teaching Campus Batch 1 program, four Universitas Internasional Batam students graduated as participants in Teaching Campus 1 and have completed their service period in Elementary School for six months. Then, two UIB students graduated again to contribute to become agents of change for Indonesian Education in the Campus Teaching Program Batch 2. Two UIB students who graduated from the Campus Teaching Program Batch 2 were Theresia Desilva Situmorang and Tiara Shinta Situmorang from the English Education study program. These two students will later teach at SDS Edustar which is located at Siriaon Regency Blok L Complex, Tiban Indah, Sekupang, Batam City according to their placement. Like the participants in the first batch, participants in the second batch will also receive the same incentive, namely the student fee discount allowance from the Ministry of Education and Culture, Dikti-LPDP.

With the re-organization of this program, it is hoped that the objectives and implementation of the program will be achieved. Hopefully, in the next batch of the Campus Teaching program, more and more Universitas Internasional Batam students who graduate will become participants in this program to contribute to become agents of change for Indonesian education and can hone social skills: empathy, communication, leadership, creativity, problem-solving, innovation, and creativity. later useful for life outside the world of study and the world of work.
