Batam (17/03/2021) – The Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) has signed a memorandum of understanding and a memorandum of agreement with 13 SMA and SMK in Batam City. The activity was held on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, in the Grand Center room, Universitas Internasional Batam. This signing was attended by Dr. Iskandar Itan as the Rector of UIB, Dr. Hepy Hefri Ariyanto as Vice Rector III of UIB, Public Relations of UIB and the principal or representative of the invited schools.
Even though it is still in a pandemic era, UIB continues to build relationships and cooperation with schools in Batam City. The number of schools that signed the MoU on this activity were 13 schools from SMA and SMK. The schools are Yos Sudarso Catholic High School, Al-Azhar Batam Vocational High School, Jin Seung New High School, Immanuel Christian High School, Eben Haezer Vocational High School, Monte Sienna School, Batam 2 State Vocational School, Batam 7 State Vocational School, Batam 19 Public High School, Nabilah Islamic High School, Ulil Albab Integrated Islamic High School, Batam
“So far, UIB has collaborated with schools in Batam City. UIB has also provided trainings for teachers and students in Batam schools online and face-to-face which are arranged according to standard Health protocols. Hopefully with the signing of this MoU and MoA, we can continue to hold activities so that this agreement letter will continue to be implemented, “said Dr. Iskandar Itan.
The schools involved are SMK Negeri 2 Batam, SMK Negeri 7 Batam, SMA Negeri 19 Batam, SMA Islam Nabilah, SMA Islam Terpadu Ulil Albab, SMA Negeri 16 Batam, and SMK Batam International School.
Hopefully in the future, UIB can expand its cooperation to more schools in Batam City and outside Batam City. Hopefully UIB can also continue to contribute to the people of Batam city. (public relations)
