On September 11, 2021, the Universitas Internasional Batam’s Career Center again held Alumni Career Developing Alumni activities for the first series. The activity was in the form of a webinar entitled Webinar Alumni Career Developing Series #1 “Know Yourself, Be Great on Your Career”.
In her speech, the Head of the Career and Alumni Development Bureau, Mrs. Ridhayati Farid, S.Psi., M.M hopes that this webinar can help and motivate alumni and students to continue to develop in their careers. This is one of the obligations and forms of concern for the UIB Career Center for Alumni friends.
This webinar was also attended by the Chair of the UIB Alumni Family Association, Mr. Hendra Asman, S.H., M.H who gave great hope for participants not to stop growing and innovating, especially during this pandemic. He also reminded fellow students and alumni to maintain health protocols to stay healthy.
The first material was presented by Mrs. Laksmi Andhiyani, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist on self-introduction and career goals. The basic things that need to be explored before starting to develop themselves are clear and directed. Goals will be successful if they come from yourself. After the goal has been determined, there will be changes. Change can happen because of purpose, crisis, and knowledge.
The material was continued by Mr. Budisila Hutasuhut from PT Panasonic Industrial Batam. He describes cases that often occur in his company related to the personality concept of each employee. There are 4 types of employees according to the achievement of targets seen from individual targets and team targets. In addition, to enter the world of work, especially in companies, communication, problem-solving, adaptive leadership, and work ethics are needed.
This webinar is also used as an opportunity by the UIB Career Center to disseminate information related to the use of the UIB Career Center website for job seekers. This website can be used to search for job vacancies that are currently available from companies that have partnered with UIB. The goal is that in the process of application, selection, and recruitment, UIB can still monitor students and alumni so that they cannot be separated from their obligations.
The webinar concludes with a virtual speaker certificate. Hopefully in the future UIB’s relationship with alumni and students can continue. Regards!
