Monday, June 7th – Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB), Indonesia, and University of Economics and Law (UEL), Vietnam, is collaborating to conduct an online short course, namely International Trade Law Online Course (ITLOC). This program was firstly initiated by Faculty of Law Science, UIB. In addition, this program is the first program collaborated with UEL, Vietnam since UIB and UEL started the collaboration in October 2020.
This program consists of 16 meetings that covers some sessions, namely Indonesian Language and Culture Class, Law Class discussing topics on International Trade Law, Legal Writing Coaching, and Students Final Presentation. Therefore, this program aims to expand students’ knowledge about International Trade Law and its comparison between Indonesia and Vietnam by sharing different perspectives of the students. To support this program, it is taught by four lecturers from UIB and UEL. The lecturers are Mr. Dao Gia Phuc, PhD. (UEL Vietnam), Ms. Vu Kim Hanh Dung, PhD (UEL Vietnam), Mr. David Tan, S.H., M.H. (UIB), and Ms. Rahmi Ayunda, S.H., M.H. (UIB).
There are 10 international students from UEL and 8 UIB students who are participating in this program. The students are going to be divided into some teams to work together to compose a research article to be presented in the final presentation. Lastly, this program is one of UIB efforts to strengthen the collaborations with overseas partners despite the pandemic of Covid19.
