Despite the pandemic of Covid-19 in which students’ mobility between countries is limited, Universitas Internasional Batam (UIB) is trying to provide more opportunities for both UIB students and overseas partner students to have an international experience. UIB admitted that the number of foreign inbound and outbound students may decrease during the pandemic; however, it challenges UIB to think creatively and innovatively to conduct online short course program to maintain the number of inbound and outbound students.
Universitas Internasional Batam also opens opportunities for students from abroad to study at UIB. Not only national students, UIB also provides scholarships for international students who will study at UIB, Batam. On Monday, April 11, 2022, UIB’s International Relations Office warmly welcomed the arrival of UIB’s international student from Malaysia, Sachi Oinuma. The event that was held went well and was full of hope that UIB could increase students from outside Indonesia.
